Young Curators

So we just had the preview of the exhibition and it was fun. Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ 

We had some of the artists come in and it was really great meeting them and putting names to the amazing art work we selected. Also we (the cute and awesome Young Curators) were there too. 

There was also a load of free juice and champagne for everyone! And plenty of nuts to go around.

If you didn’t manage to come to the preview, don’t feel too bad…yet! The exhibition is on till the 24th March.

Heather

I like Emma Gamble’s work because they are ambiguous and open to interpretation. Also, at first glance, they appear to be photographs and therefore it was even more impressive to find out they were drawings.

Guy Tarrant - I like Guy’s work as I think it reinforces the idea of the choices young people people have to face and how their decisions will effect them in then future.

My favourite piece is ‘Behind Closed Doors’ by Guy Tarrant - I love how the piece challenges the concept of traditional art as it is an installation.

My favourite pieces are by Juan delGado. His photographs are not only visually stunning, but fit best with our exhibition. I love their blown up size and this gives it impact.  

Kai

My favourite artist is Emma Gamble because the drawings look so much like photographs and the use of alternative drawing methods makes it very unique.

Beth 

I like Louise Burrows’ work because I like the slightly mis-matched quality it passes.

Hannah

My Favourite artist is Guy Tarrant because his work is really effective and expresses itself with the exhibition.
